Job description

Position Summary

The Credit Manager, along with the Sales Manager, is the second in charge at the individual branch location. The Credit Manager performs a variety of functions under the direction of the General Manager, assisting and coordinating store activities to ensure safe, professional, and profitable operations. The Credit Manager is accountable for meeting company objectives, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to company policies.

Principal Accountabilities
  1. Acquire and maintain customers.
  2. Act as a customer liaison to promote timely rental/lease agreement renewal payments.
  3. Assist in managing store personnel; may direct activities of one or more employees.
  4. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes.
  5. Prepare, review, and decipher store reports.
  6. Document all customer commitments.
  7. Ensure company standards for renewals, delinquencies, and collections are satisfied.
  8. Complete paperwork for submission to corporate support.
  9. Follow monthly marketing plans and maintain internal quality control standards.
  10. Manage customer accounts.
  11. Manage inventory and cash assets.
  12. Prepare daily work and delivery schedules, assign tasks, and enforce company policies.
  13. Perform all other duties necessary for effective store management.
General Physical Requirements
  • Lift, load, move, and use a dolly for merchandise weighing 50-300 pounds.
  • Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching, and grabbing as required.
  • Traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronics.
  • Prolonged driving and standing.
  • Work in outdoor and indoor environments in various climates and weather conditions.
