Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 per year

Job Overview

Our client, an established, regional energy company, is looking to bring on a Credit Manager as a key edition to their Finance & Accounting department. This is a full-time role with our client.

Job Responsibilities

• Credit Evaluation: Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers using financial analysis, credit bureau data, trade references, and internal payment history.
• Risk Management: Establish, maintain, and monitor credit limits and payment terms based on risk profiles, and customer segments.
• Collection Strategy: Design and implement structured collection strategies.
• AR Optimization: Monitor accounts receivable trends and key metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Dispute Resolution: Lead collection efforts on high-risk accounts to negotiate payment plans, and partner with internal teams to resolve disputes.
• Legal Recovery: Manage the legal recovery process for delinquent accounts, including coordinating with legal counsel on court filings, judgments, liens, and garnishments.

Successful Candidates Must Have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Credit Executive (CCE) or Certified Credit & Risk Analyst (CCRA) are preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in credit, accounts receivable, and/or financial risk management roles.
• Experience managing commercial and/or wholesale credit environments
• Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
