Job summary

CoBank’s Credit Advancement Program (CAP) offers hands-on credit support and analysis across agribusiness and rural utility banking groups in a rotational 24-month training program. You’ll train with credit and relationship teams, and complete curricular development to become proficient in credit analysis.

Participants gain exposure to audits, forecasting, and underwriting processes while advancing toward a credit career within CoBank. Relocation may be required during rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Agribusiness, or related field.
• Prior experience or education in accounting/finance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in a team.
• Aptitude for financial analysis.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process audits, financial statements, and borrower reporting.
• Monitor financial statements for loan terms compliance.
• Prepare and underwrite credit reports; perform credit analysis.
• Develop knowledge of bank guidelines and credit processes.
• Review profitability and credit quality of loan portfolios.
• Assist in marketing and account servicing plans within designated industries.
