Job summary

The role reports to the Credit and Collections Manager and requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. NACM certification is a plus; bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of credit & collections experience, B2B.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
• NACM certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with compliance programs/systems/software.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aging at an acceptable level by following credit policies.
• Monitor credit queue and approve orders in a timely manner.
• Lead collections for assigned portfolio and contact customers for prompt payment.
• Provide updates for accounts delinquent >120 days to management.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to resolve billing issues.
• Assist in risk management activities with Credit and Collections leadership.
• Maintain accurate customer files with contacts and addresses.
• Process accounts with outside collection agencies when needed.
• Analyze payment practices to recommend actions on delinquent accounts.
• Evaluate customer records to suggest credit limit adjustments.
• Reconcile accounts and verify charges and cash applications.
• Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
• Support projects and audits as needed.
