Job summary

Chase is seeking a Test Automation Analyst to design, build, and maintain automated tests for critical customer workflows in the Credit Card team. You will collaborate with product and tech partners to convert requirements into test scenarios, reduce flakiness, and surface quality risks early.

You’ll help establish practical testing standards and ensure changes are released confidently, with a focus on reliability and speed across the automation framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1+ years maintaining test automation frameworks.
• 1+ years manual API testing with Postman or Bruno.
• Strong hands-on Selenium experience with a test framework (Cucumber).
• Working knowledge of Java and core automation concepts.
• Understanding of web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Ability to select stable locator strategies and describe alternatives.
• Use appropriate wait strategies to ensure reliability.
• Experience with version control and code reviews.
• Experience with CI/build tools such as Jenkins and Maven.
• Strong communication skills to explain testing decisions and risks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated functional, end-to-end, and regression tests.
• Maintain and enhance an in-house automation framework for speed and reliability.
• Translate acceptance criteria into test scenarios and test plans.
• Build maintainable test code using patterns like page objects and utilities.
• Create stable element locator strategies and explain tradeoffs.
• Diagnose and resolve common automation failures (missing elements, timeouts).
• Automate API validation and support manual testing when needed.
• Integrate automated tests into build/release pipelines.
• Communicate test progress, results, and risks with partners.
• Participate in team ceremonies and contribute to process improvements.
