Capital Health is seeking a Credit Balance Resolution Coordinator to manage hospital and professional billing credit balances for insurance and third-party payors. The role requires research, documentation, and adjustments to resolve balances and process refunds.

Responsibilities include reviewing host billing systems, EOBs, and payer portals; tracking trends, collaborating with billing staff, and ensuring timely completion of refunds and retractions while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in accounting, finance, or healthcare Revenue Cycle billing operations.
• Knowledge of Revenue Cycle billing functions, such as pre-bill edits, claim submission, accounts receivable or payment posting.
• Experience working in Excel; Epic, Athena or Cerner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all hospital and professional billing credit balance resolution tasks for insurance and other third-party payors to full completion.
• Research credit balances, provide supporting evidence, communicate findings and perform billing system adjustments.
• Prepare, submit, and ensure completion of refunds and retractions to resolve credit balances.
• Review host billing systems, EOBs, claims status, and payer portals to determine causes of credit balances.
• Track trends in credit balance data and assist in root cause analysis.
