Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Credit Balance Resolution Specialist to handle all hospital and professional billing credit balances with 3rd-party payors to completion. The role requires knowledge of Revenue Cycle functions, Excel experience, and familiarity with Epic, Athena, or Cerner.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Revenue Cycle billing functions such as pre-bill edits, claim submission, accounts receivable or payment posting.
• Experience with Excel.
• Experience using Epic, Athena or Cerner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all government, commercial, and third-party payer credit balance resolution tasks to completion.
• Research credit balances, provide supporting evidence, and communicate findings.
• Perform billing system adjustments to resolve credit balances.
• Prepare and ensure completion of refunds and retractions when appropriate.
• Review billing systems, EOBs, and payer portals for accurate research and cause determination.
• Track trends in credit balance data and assist with root cause analysis.
