The role supports lending staff by providing accurate, timely credit analyses to assist in sound lending decisions and to maintain the bank’s loan portfolio quality while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of commercial underwriting, lending experience, and loan structuring.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and credit risk principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and financial spreading software.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and credit compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow statements, and other data to assess borrower creditworthiness.
• Prepare detailed credit memorandums with risk ratings and repayment capacity analysis.
• Spread and analyze financial statements using bank-approved software.
• Assess collateral adequacy and review appraisals and related docs.
• Track covenant compliance and monitor credit conditions across portfolios.
