Job summary

Primex Plastics Corporation is seeking a Credit Analyst for its Corporate Office in Richmond, Indiana. This is a day shift, in-office position reporting to the Credit Manager.

You will analyze customer financial conditions, establish credit limits, and help minimize bad debt while maximizing collections. You will work closely with Operations and Sales to manage credit exposure, reconcile statements, and communicate payment policies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of work-related experience in accounting, credit analysis or administrative manufacturing support.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft AX experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Assess credit risk and establish credit limits.
• Analyze customer credit information including financial statements if provided.
• Provide financial order management support to Operations and Sales to control credit exposure and minimize disputes.
• Secure prompt payment from customers while using business judgment.
• Conduct collection calls to collect Accounts Receivable.
• Negotiate customer disputes to resolution and document root cause.
• Maintain accurate credit files and electronic collection notes for each customer.
• Communicate credit department policy and procedures to company personnel.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements and processes.
