Job summary

Primex Plastics Corporation is seeking a in-house Credit Analyst for our Corporate Office in Richmond, Indiana. You will analyze customer financial conditions and authorize credit limits, aiming to minimize bad debt and maximize collections.

The role reports to the Credit Manager and involves supporting order management, reconciling statements, and communicating payment policies across departments. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, credit analysis or related manufacturing support.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft AX experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
• Effective business writing skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Self-starting, motivated with high attention to detail and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Assess credit risk and establish credit limits for customers.
• Analyze customer credit information including financial statements.
• Support order management to control credit exposure and timeliness of payments.
• Secure prompt payment while applying sound business judgment.
• Conduct collection calls and customer visits to collect receivables.

We are currently seeking a in house Credit Analyst for our Corporate Office in Richmond, Indiana. This position, reporting to the Credit Manager, will be responsible for analyzing customer financial conditions and authorizing appropriate customer credit limits. The position will seek to minimize bad debt risk while maximizing accounts receivable collections for the organization. The Credit Analyst will regularly assist with order management, reconcile customer statements/billings and communicate Credit Department and Company payment policies. This person will play a key role in the Credit Department and the successful incumbent will need to possess a high degree of Job ownership, focus, confidence, motivation and thoroughness.

Responsibilities

• Assess credit risk and establish credit limits
• Analyze customer credit information including financial statements
• Provide financial order management support to the Operations and Sales personnel to control credit exposure, effect timely payment, and minimize risk of customer disputes
• Effectively secure prompt payment from customers while employing commercial sensitivity, business acumen and good judgment
• Conduct collection calls and customer visits to collect Accounts Receivables
• Negotiate customer disputes to resolution and document root cause
• Provide customer service and develop relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers
• Maintain accurate credit files and electronic collection notes for each customer account
• Market, train, counsel, advise, and communicate credit department policy and procedures to company personnel
• Participate in department projects and take an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives
• Actively participates and communicates in the team-based work groups that make up the Credit Department
• Participate in process improvement projects and support other management directives as prescribed

• 3-5 years of work-related experience in accounting, credit analysis or administrative manufacturing support
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field, or equivalent experience
• Microsoft AX software experience helpful but not required
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
• Effective business writing skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word)
• The successful candidate will be a self-starting, motivated individual, who possesses a strong attention to detail and a high degree of job ownership
