Job summary

Primex Plastics Corporation, located in Richmond, Indiana, is seeking a Credit Analyst to join our Corporate Office. This day shift, in-office role reports to the Credit Manager and focuses on analyzing customer financials and authorizing credit limits while minimizing bad debt.

You will support order management, reconcile statements, communicate credit policies, and work with Operations and Sales to control exposure.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of work-related experience in accounting, credit analysis or administrative manufacturing support.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field, or equivalent experience
• Microsoft AX software experience helpful but not required
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word)
• Self-starting, motivated with strong attention to detail and job ownership

Responsibilities

• Assess credit risk and establish credit limits
• Analyze customer credit information which could include financial statements if provided
• Provide financial order management support to Operations and Sales to control credit exposure
• Effectively secure prompt payment from customers while employing business acumen
• Conduct collection calls to collect Accounts Receivables
• Negotiate customer disputes to resolution and document root cause
• Provide customer service and develop relationships with internal/external customers
• Maintain accurate credit files and electronic collection notes
• Market, train, counsel, advise, and communicate credit department policy
• Participate in department projects and cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements
• Actively participates in team-based work groups of Credit Department
• Participate in process improvement projects and support management directives
