Job summary

Foundation Finance is seeking a Credit Analyst I to build and maintain relationships with dealers by processing credit applications and delivering strong customer service. You will work across departments to meet volume and quality goals while developing underwriting skills to earn higher levels of decision authority.

The role includes standard 8:30am–5:00pm PST hours with occasional late shift and rotating Saturday, plus on-the-job training to build expertise in lending regulations and policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, communication, marketing or related field OR 2 years’ underwriting or lending experience.
• Must have professional phone presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Process new loan applications.
• Gather data to determine and evaluate credit risk.
• Underwrite in adherence with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate with dealers to answer questions and resolve issues.
• Work with management to develop underwriting skills and achieve higher levels of decision authority.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current compliance and lending regulations.
• Maintain relationships with dealers to develop new business.
