Job summary

Foundation Finance Company is seeking a Credit Analyst I to build relationships with dealers by processing credit applications and answering questions with strong customer service. The role collaborates across departments to hit volume and quality targets while developing underwriting skills for higher authority.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree or have 2 years underwriting experience, and demonstrate solid communication skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years’ underwriting or lending experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Process new loan applications.
• Gather data to determine and evaluate credit risk.
• Underwrite in accordance with company policies.
• Communicate with dealers to answer questions and provide information.
• Develop underwriting skills and seek higher decision authority.
• Maintain knowledge of compliance and lending regulations.
• Review stipulations and assist with related processes.
• Develop and maintain dealer relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned and work well under deadlines.
