Job summary

Citizens Business Bank is seeking a Credit Officer I to analyze credit requests, review financial statements, and prepare clear credit reports (RCE). The role focuses on smaller, non-complex credits and requires collaboration with branch personnel. Training junior officers is part of the responsibilities.

Applicants should be proficient in analyzing tax returns and cash flows, and in presenting information to management. A four-year program or 3–5 years related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must understand financial statements and tax returns.
• Prepare an accurate credit extended report (RCE).
• Review credit requests for completeness and compliance.
• Assist in training junior credit officers.

Responsibilities

• Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
• Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
• Review credit request/file for completeness.
• Spread financial statement and/or tax returns.
• Evaluate a credit request and formulate questions, if necessary to complete Report of Credit Extended (RCE).
• Prepare an accurate, clear and concise RCE.
• If credit request does not fit within the bank's standard lending policy and procedures, refer to other bank departments.
• Discuss credit requests with branch personnel and Credit Management Division.
• Assist and/or train junior credit officer/trainees to obtain/increase the understanding of the credit analysis process and improve credit skills.
• Other duties may be assigned.
