Job summary

LISC in New York seeks a Credit Analyst to manage weekly Credit Committee materials, distribute credit packages, and act as secretary for meetings to ensure notes reflect credit memos.

Under the Senior Credit Officer, you will review loan requests from intake through closing, analyze financial statements and budgets, and maintain data integrity in Salesforce. You will help update policies and support cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum three (3) years of job related credit analysis experience.
• Demonstrated interest in a career in community development finance.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including ability to analyze financial statements, project development budgets, and project operating pro formas.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly Credit Committee materials and meetings, including distributing credit packages, serving as secretary, and ensuring meeting notes reflect credit memos.
• Coordinate and manage the review of loans and amendments approved by the Chief Credit Officer.
• Support the review and approval of all loan requests from intake through closing, working with Lending, Finance, and Legal staff.
• Conduct internal outreach on maturing loans, circulate status updates, and coordinate amendment reviews.
• Review final drafts of credit memos to ensure underwriting requirements are satisfied and information is complete.
• Prepare loan approval notification letters after loans are approved at Credit Committee or by the Chief Credit Officer.
• Ensure data in Salesforce and other loan systems is complete and accurate with all approvals recorded.
• Under supervision, review and analyze requests for recoverable grant financing and align with organizational goals.
• Perform analysis on loan commitments and performance for ad hoc reports to senior management and impact metrics.
• Manage and update all credit policies and procedures including an underwriting manual.
• Serve as back-up to the Loan Support Specialist for loan intake management and pipeline analysis.
