Mercantile Bank in Michigan is seeking full-time Credit Analysts to support our Commercial Lending team across Troy, Traverse City, Lansing, Mt. Pleasant, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids markets.

You will receive best-in-class training and begin developing the foundation for a career in commercial banking. During eight weeks of immersive training in Grand Rapids, you will learn financial analysis, lending, and relationship banking, then apply your skills to assess borrowers, prepare credit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Business economics
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
• Completion of at least two college-level accounting courses by May 2027

Responsibilities

• Receive best-in-class commercial credit and banking training
• Analyze financial information to evaluate commercial borrowers and understand how businesses operate and generate cash flow
• Prepare and present credit recommendations to support lending decisions and drive the growth of local businesses
• Build relationships with lenders, mentors and industry professionals while developing the skills needed for future leadership opportunities within the bank
