Job summary

Badger Meter is hiring a Credit and Collection Analyst in Milwaukee, WI. You will manage overdue accounts, resolve invoice discrepancies, and support timely payments while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (associate preferred), 3+ years in a similar role, and experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school degree/GED required
• Associate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of related experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, JDE, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts by reviewing aging and payment history to identify past due accounts that require follow up
• Research and resolve complex invoice discrepancies, deductions, short payments, pricing disputes, freight claims, and tax-related issues
• Spot check customer orders for accuracy, verify that the purchase order matches the order for bill to address, ship to address, invoice delivery and dollar totals
• Confer with clients to verify their financial/credit transactions and resolve disputes
• Enter invoices online for certain customers
• Set up new customers in the system and verify address, tax exemption status and invoice delivery

What You Will Contribute:

The Credit and Collection Analyst is primarily responsible for an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and resolving account issues that impact payment, order processing, account aging, and customer satisfaction. This role works closely with customers and internal department to support timely payments, resolve account discrepancies and maintain accurate account information.

Education and Experience:
