Job summary

Atlanticus Services Corporation is seeking a Credit Analyst to join our Credit Card Risk team in Atlanta. You will use data, SQL, and analytics to identify trends across credit and marketing, shaping underwriting and portfolio strategies.

You’ll partner with Finance, Marketing, and Operations to deliver insights, develop recommendations, and test new approaches that drive growth and risk management. The role offers exposure to a fast-paced, growing financial services environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, or Data Science).
  • 1-3 years of experience in analytics, business strategy, or consulting (internships or rotational programs welcome).
  • Proficiency in SQL and strong Excel skills; experience with Python, R, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems using data and structured thinking.
  • Strong communication skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • Preferred experience in credit cards, consumer lending, or data-driven marketing.
  • Exposure to experimentation (A/B testing) or performance measurement frameworks.
  • Familiarity with BI or visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments where adaptability matters.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business performance: Use SQL and other analytical tools to extract, clean, and interpret data to identify trends and opportunities across credit, marketing, and finance.
  • Develop actionable insights: Translate data into clear recommendations that improve acquisition, underwriting, and portfolio management strategies.
  • Structure and execute test-and-learn initiatives: Evaluate credit, marketing, and customer strategies and translate outcomes into scalable improvements.
  • Collaborate across functions: Work with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance to deliver analytical solutions and align on priorities.
  • Tell the story: Communicate findings through presentations and dashboards that are accessible to decision-makers.
