Job summary

First National Bank of Omaha is seeking a Credit Analysis Manager to lead a team of Credit Analysts in underwriting commercial, agricultural, and CRE portfolios. The role drives high-quality loan packages and credit reviews, aligning with FNBO policies and risk standards.

The ideal candidate will mentor analysts, enforce ownership and accountability, and collaborate with Credit Risk Administration and the Business Lending Segment to optimize processes and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial and/or consumer credit analysis.
  • Experience in community or regional banking.
  • MBA preferred; candidates must have unrestricted work authorization.

Summary of the Job

The Credit Analysis Manager leads and develops a high-performing team of Credit Analysts within the Banking Division, driving excellence in credit underwriting across the commercial portfolio. This role is accountable for the quality, consistency, and timeliness of loan approval packages and internal credit reviews, ensuring full alignment with FNBO's credit culture, policies, and risk management standards. This manager leverages strong commercial credit and underwriting knowledge to guide and support analysts while fostering a culture of continuous development and operational excellence.

  • Maintain comprehensive, current knowledge of credit policies and risk assessment standards
  • Assist with development and lead implementation of departmental goals, standards, and performance benchmarks
  • Design, adapt, and implement procedures that enforce commercial credit process improvements and drive operational efficiency
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with leadership across Credit Risk Administration, the Business Lending Segment, and other related divisions.
  • Serve as a collaborative partner in supporting lending objectives and aligning credit analysis capabilities with business needs
  • Ensure team adherence to bank policies, laws, regulations, and FNBO's BSA/AML Program
  • Maintain a strong compliance posture across all underwriting activities; report known or suspected violations and suspicious activity as required

  • Thorough knowledge of commercial lending concepts, practices, documentation, and industry regulations
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Travel required approximately 20% of the time to Kansas City market
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS
  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience
  • Demonstrated leadership or management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial and/or consumer credit analysis, with demonstrated progression in responsibility
  • Prior experience in community or regional banking
  • Familiarity with loan origination and credit spreading platforms
  • Track record of working across business lines to support lending goals
  • Preferred MBA preferred #IND123 Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
Compensation

Compensation range (base pay): $83,355.00-$141,704.00 This role may have a specific starting pay within this range. Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
