Qualifications

• High School Equivalency Diploma.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• 1 year of general office experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in Hospital Credentialing/privileging or Provider Enrollment Credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts primary source verification of provider applications with multiple entities as outlined in policy and required by regulatory agencies and governance documents.
• Maintains the Medical Staff Services database, responds to expiring credentials, uploads renewed credentials, maintains auto-alert system, and ensures data integrity.
• Maintains a professional demeanor representing the department and Onvida Health; assists providers in-person, via email, or by phone; maintains professional communication.
• Processes pre-checks of potential candidates with Provider Services; maintains records of pre-check data.
• Provides administrative coverage and support including routine reports, special projects, meetings, and accounting reconciliation.
• Supports Credentialing Specialist II to facilitate reappointment and initial appointment; collaborates to ensure file accuracy.
• Assists Director to ensure compliance with bylaws, policies, procedures; participates in QA and budgetary tasks.
