Job summary

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to coordinate and administer credentialing for medical practitioners. You will support the System Credentials and Medical Staff Organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.

The role supports the Credentialing department in Fort Worth, with standard 40 hours per week on First Shift, contributing to the hospital’s credentialing operations and quality programs.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate with two or more years experience in credentialing or medical staff services department.
  • In lieu of experience in Credentialing or Medical Staff Services department, an Associate degree or higher may be considered with consistent work history.
  • Familiar with NCQA and Joint Commission Standards.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, networks and software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheet and Internet required.
  • Must have ability and interest to deal tactfully with physicians and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive matters.
  • Should agree to pursue Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist professional designation when eligibility requirements are met.
