Golden State Orthopedics & Spine is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to manage the full cycle of provider credentialing and re-credentialing, ensuring applications are prepared, submitted, and monitored through completion.

The role maintains up-to-date licenses and certifications, proactively tracking expirations to prevent lapses, and updates provider information in the MODIO credentialing database to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience in a medical office preferred.
• Computer skills including Excel required; familiarity with EHR/EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing credentialing and re-credentialing applications on behalf of physicians/providers.
• Completing provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitor applications and follow-ups as needed.
• Gathering, organizing, and maintaining copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and other required documents.
• Tracking license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
• Maintaining and updating credentials in MODIO credentialing database.

About the Role

The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for managing the full cycle of provider credentialing

and re-credentialing, ensuring all applications are accurately prepared, submitted, and monitored

through completion. This role maintains up-to-date records of licenses, certifications, and required

documents, proactively tracking expirations to prevent lapses. The Credentialing Specialist also

updates and manages provider information in the MODIO credentialing database to ensure

compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements.

What You'll Do

• Preparing credentialing and re-credentialing applications on behalf of physicians/providers

What We're Looking For:
