Job summary

Landmark Management Services Of Florida, Llc is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to support credentialing for three small hospitals. This role combines remote and on-site work and will be based in Baton Rouge. Expect about 24 hours per week, with some weeks up to 30 hours.

Responsibilities include verifying credentials, maintaining records, researching regulations, and ensuring compliance with licensing and accrediting bodies. CPCS preferred.

Qualifications

Credentialing Specialist

Salary Range: $22.00 To $27.00 Hourly

We are looking for a credentialing specialist to support 3 small hospitals. This role combines remote and on-site support and will be based in Baton Rouge.

Estimating that this will be around 24 hours a week, with some weeks requiring up to 30 hours a week.

Core Duties: This position verifies healthcare professionals' credentials to ensure they are current and meet regulatory standards. They also ensure that medical facilities and their services comply with government agency standards.

• Create and maintain licensing, credentials, and insurance records
• Conduct research on updated state and federal regulations and policies
• Release information to requesting agencies and public inquiries when required by law
• Help develop internal credentialing processes and train new credentialing team members
• Monitor license and credential expiration dates and advise staff members of required “renew by” dates
• Ensure the facility and staff members are maintaining compliance with regulatory and accrediting institutions
• Knowledge of applicable regulations, laws, and policies
• Ability to track, follow up on open items, and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate and build relationships with physicians being credentialed and their office staff
• Ability to work independently and with a team with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements
