Job summary

Landmark Management Services, Inc. is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to support three hospitals in a hybrid role based in Baton Rouge. The position combines remote and on-site tasks, averaging around 24 hours per week with potential for up to 30 hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year of physician credentialing experience (3 years preferred).
• CPCS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify healthcare professionals' credentials to ensure current regulatory standards.
• Maintain licensing, credentials, and insurance records.
• Research updated state and federal regulations and policies.
• Release information to agencies when required by law.
• Develop internal credentialing processes and train staff.
• Monitor license and credential expiration dates and alert staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies.
• Track items, follow up, and meet deadlines.
• Communicate with physicians and their offices; build relationships.

Credentialing Specialist

Salary Range: $22.00 To $27.00 Hourly

We are looking for a credentialing specialist to support 3 small hospitals. This role combines remote and on-site support and will be based in Baton Rouge.

Estimating that this will be around 24 hours a week, with some weeks requiring up to 30 hours a week.

Core Duties: This position verifies healthcare professionals' credentials to ensure they are current and meet regulatory standards. They also ensure that medical facilities and their services comply with government agency standards.

• Create and maintain licensing, credentials, and insurance records
• Conduct research on updated state and federal regulations and policies
• Release information to requesting agencies and public inquiries when required by law
• Help develop internal credentialing processes and train new credentialing team members
• Monitor license and credential expiration dates and advise staff members of required “renew by” dates
• Ensure the facility and staff members are maintaining compliance with regulatory and accrediting institutions
• Knowledge of applicable regulations, laws, and policies
• Ability to track, follow up on open items, and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate and build relationships with physicians being credentialed and their office staff
• Ability to work independently and with a team with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
