The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs invites applications for a Credentialing Program Assistant in Amarillo, TX.

The role supports the Medical Staff Office under the Chief of Quality, overseeing credentialing and privileging processes and providing advisory support to VAMC leadership. Responsibilities include verifying licensure, certifications, and NPC data, analyzing records, and ensuring accurate data entry to meet Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications

• No educational substitution at this grade level.

Responsabilités

• Utilize significant judgment to inform leadership and administrative staff of credentialing program changes, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures or issues pertaining to credentialing.
• Ensure primary source verification for licenses, certifications, and required credentials, including NPDB, licensing boards, DoD, and healthcare facilities.
• Conduct final appointment into the credentialing database after researching, analyzing and validating data and signatures.
• Serve as SME in credentialing; ensure data entry is complete and meets Joint Commission standards.
• Manage data and documents tracking to support credentialing operations.
• Review VetPro or other credentialing database reports to identify issues requiring investigation and monitor database operations.
