Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to oversee all aspects of practitioner credentialing, mentor staff, and act as a liaison across departments to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

You will coordinate with regulators, maintain current licensure records, track meeting minutes, and lead at least one major project that advances the department's strategic initiatives while ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in verification of practitioner credentials (licenses, boards, education) and credentials.
• High school Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of credentialing for practitioners.
• Serve as role model and mentor to staff interfacing credentialing duties.
• Precept and mentor designated staff in credentialing tasks.
• Coordinate staff with regulators and maintain compliance with bylaws, rules, and policies.
• Record and track meeting minutes and prepare agendas when required.
• Update credentialing databases and ensure system accuracy.
• Track licensure status and monitor changes affecting staff credentials.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve department goals.
• Manage projects and timelines to deliver high-quality work.
