Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Austin is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to verify submitted credentialing documentation for all specialties served by the organization. The role focuses on meeting credentialing turnaround times by submitting accurate and complete applications and adhering to compliance guidelines.

The incumbent will enter provider data, maintain files, and support payer enrollment while coordinating with leadership to avoid lapses.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' related experience.
• Previous experience in health insurance preferred.
• Excellent customer/interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Verifies and reviews credentialing details across specialties (Medicare, licenses, malpractice, CLIA where applicable).
• Enters provider information and verification data into the database.
• Maintains provider files in compliance with policies.
• Completes payer enrollment and facility applications in a timely manner.
• Obtains missing documents and forwards them to leadership as needed.
• Ensures data integrity in credentialing systems.
• Performs monthly expirations monitoring and quality checks.
• Supports projects and other duties as assigned.
