Job summary

KIC is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to coordinate credentialing, recredentialing, and privileging for licensed health care professionals in a clinical setting. You will verify qualifications, monitor statuses, and support payer enrollment activities to ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance.

The role requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work with diverse teams, with regular interactions across governance and clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years’ admin/secretarial supervisory experience and one year of project coordination/executive assistance.
• Must obtain CPMSM/CMSC/CPCS certifications within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate credentialing, reappointment, and privileging for licensed health care professionals.
• Perform primary source verification of education, training, licensure, and other credentials.
• Track expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and related credentials to ensure timely renewal.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring for sanctions and exclusions via required databases.
• Prepare credentialing files for review by committees and leadership.
• Coordinate provider enrollment forms for payer enrollment activities.
• Cross-train within other Quality functions as needed.
• Other related duties as assigned.
