Job summary

Supplemental Health Care seeks a Credentialing Specialist to maintain field talent credentialing files and ensure compliance with Joint Commission and SHC standards. You will manage primary source verifications, screenings, onboarding paperwork, and document action plans in TRM.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree and/or 2 years equivalent experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with field talent, office personnel, and clients.
  • Working knowledge of computers and software systems including Microsoft Office products and the Internet.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Responsibilities

  • Support Joint Commission and SHC standards to achieve and maintain 100% compliance.
  • Process credentialing files per policies and client requirements (license verifications, screenings).
  • Facilitate and track onboarding paperwork.
  • Review talent paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with customers regarding credentialing status and document actions in TRM.
  • Escalate issues to leadership when appropriate.
  • Monitor upcoming expiration dates of credentialing documents.
  • Maintain credentialing records in SHC and client databases.
  • Meet targeted deadlines and start dates.
  • Establish professional relationships with field talent and customers.
  • Meet performance metrics and demonstrate exemplary customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

General Description: Responsible for maintaining the credentialing files for field talent in accordance with Supplemental Health Care and contract specific standards using Company core values of Integrity, Candor, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Support Joint Commission and SHC standards to achieve and maintain 100% compliance
  • Process talent credentialing files in accordance with corporate policies and procedures, and any relevant client requirements (primary source license verifications, background/drug screenings, etc.)
  • Facilitate and track onboarding paperwork
  • Review talent paperwork for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate with all customers regarding the status of talent credentialing file and document Action Plan in TRM
  • Escalate issues to leadership when appropriate
  • Monitor and notify talent of upcoming expiration dates of required credentialing documents
  • Maintain and update credentialing records in SHC and client/VMS databases as required
  • Meet targeted deadlines and start dates
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with field talent and all other customers
  • Meet performance metrics as outlined by leadership
  • Demonstrate exemplary customer service to all external and internal customers
  • Demonstrate ethical problem-solving skills
  • Help to create an environment of high morale, motivation and teamwork
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Talents:
  • Associates Degree and/or 2 years equivalent experience preferred
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with field talent, office personnel, and clients (if applicable)
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers and software systems including Microsoft Office products and the Internet
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment.

  • Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods of sitting, typing and use of the phone and computer
  • Must successfully complete onboarding training/tutorials and attend future webcasts/trainings as required
