Company Overview: Savoy Life is a healthcare startup focused on improving senior living. Our model of care supports senior living communities by coordinating clinical care and leveraging technology and clinical experts to fill care gaps, ensuring residents receive high-quality, personalized care.

Job Overview: We seek a part-time Credentialing and Billing Operations Specialist to manage credentialing, billing, and operational tasks related to health plan setup and monitoring. This fully virtual role involves owning the end-to-end credentialing and enrollment process, from identifying health plans/IPAs, contacting them, setting up Savoy's entity and providers, to monitoring and ensuring accurate claim reimbursement by managing payer configurations in our EHR and coordinating with the RCM vendor.

This role initially focuses on credentialing for up to 15 hours/week, with potential to expand responsibilities and hours based on performance. This is a 1099 position with the goal of transitioning to W2.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and prioritize health plans and IPA groups in new states; manage credentialing and re-credentialing of healthcare providers
  • Prepare, review, and submit enrollment applications and supporting documents
  • Track application statuses and ensure timely approvals
  • Maintain credentialing files and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Resolve credentialing and enrollment issues through communication with insurance companies and internal teams
  • Validate provider credentials and ensure accurate configurations in billing and EHR systems
Billing:
  • Set up and maintain ERA, EDI, and eligibility verification in the EHR system
  • Monitor claim payments and coordinate with RCM vendors to resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure correct configuration of provider IDs, NPI numbers, and taxonomies
Operations:
  • Support accounts payable processes and vendor contract management using AI tools
Required Qualifications:
  • Extensive healthcare provider credentialing & enrollment experience, including starting from scratch
  • Knowledge of payer enrollment processes, CAQH, NPPES, PECOS, and insurance verification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and credentialing software

Compensation: $25-$35/hour
