Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Credentialed Veterinary Technician for the role of Pharmacy and Laboratory Veterinary Technician

Pay: $20 - $40 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement

Must be an active Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT).

As a Pharmacy and Laboratory Veterinary Technician, you will serve as a liaison between departments, working directly with clinicians to manage prescription orders and organize the pharmacy. You will handle client communications regarding prescriptions, run in-house diagnostics using IDEXX lab equipment, and report findings. Strong pharmacology and clinical pathology skills are required, along with licensure as a Veterinary Technician in Florida.

Responsibilities include:

1. Filling prescriptions for hospitalized patients, appointments, and refills
2. Maintaining a safe, clean pharmacy, managing inventory, verifying receipts, removing outdated drugs, and maintaining controlled substances
3. Stocking medical supplies and researching pharmacy regulations
4. Performing laboratory maintenance and assisting with pathology services
5. Cross-training staff in laboratory duties and assisting with sample collection
6. Entering lab results, reporting alerts, and updating clients with lab findings
7. Responding promptly to in-house laboratory samples and completing additional tasks as assigned
