At Chewy Vet Care, we’re changing the veterinary care experience! We are seeking a full-time Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our Healthcare Practice Team. Work in a practice designed from the ground up by veterinarians, equipped with advanced equipment and purpose-built technology to support your best medicine and focus on patient and pet parent care. What You'll Do
  • Support the practice’s team by providing high-level, proficient veterinary medical care and embodying the Chewy mission to work together and deliver a WOW experience to pet parents.
  • Implement policies and procedures, use integrated technology, and deliver consistent medical care within your skills.
  • Perform technician duties such as patient care (blood transfusions, oxygen cages, cardiac monitoring), dentistry, wound care, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and handling animal bodily fluids and tissues.
  • Support team members and care for others’ work experiences.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards of Care (SOC).
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and keep veterinarians updated on patient status.
  • Act as a PIMS super-user and assist others with technology use.
  • Maintain controlled substance logs responsibly and communicate inventory needs to the practice manager.
  • Ensure cleanliness of workspaces after patient interactions.
  • Participate in self-development courses and required compliance training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management and may be required to work weekends or travel.
What You’ll Need
  • Successful completion of an accredited veterinary technology program; current licensure preferred.
  • Ability to complete the veterinary technician skills checklist for Veterinary Technician III.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred.
  • Strong client connection skills and compassion.
  • Excellent communication, observational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-starting environment.
Physical Job Requirements
  • Standing or walking up to 80% per shift.
  • Frequently lift up to 50-70 pounds; team lift for greater weights.
  • Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel as required.

The hourly range offered may vary based on experience, education, and location. The position is eligible for a 401k plan. Non-exempt team members accrue paid time off (PTO), are eligible for paid holidays, and may qualify for sick and family leave per applicable laws.

Pay Range: $25—$27.25 USD
