Job summary

Animal Medical Center I-35 in Edmond, Oklahoma is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. This role requires Oklahoma RVT status or eligibility to transfer within 3 months of hire, and at least 3 years of veterinary clinical experience.

You will work alongside three experienced veterinarians in a supportive environment, perform dental procedures, phlebotomy, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and other duties of a RVT while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• RVT in Oklahoma or eligible to transfer license within 3 months of hire.
• 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Passion for working with animals and their owners.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Dental experience: scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs.
• Phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, casts, bandages, splints.
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical care experience.
• Medical math and drug calculations.
• Laboratory skills including cytology setup/interpretation.
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis.

Responsibilities

• Provide RVT support across exams and surgeries.
• Assist with dental procedures: scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs.
• Perform phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Monitor anesthesia and post-operative care.
• Conduct radiology imaging and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis.
• Maintain patient records and communicate with owners.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Animal Medical Center I-35 in Edmond, Oklahoma!

Location: 3800 E 2nd St, Edmond, OK 73034

Salary: competitive and dependent on experience

Schedule: Variable; must be willing to work AM shifts for surgeries

Who You Are:

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Oklahoma, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
• 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dental Experience; scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs
• Skilled in phlebotomy, IV Catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
• Confident with medical math and drug calculations
• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound‑guided cystocentesis
• And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
