Job summary

Animal Medical Center I-35 is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Edmond, OK team. The RVT must hold Oklahoma licensure or be eligible to transfer within 3 months and bring at least 3 years of veterinary clinical experience.

You will work with a diverse medical team, supporting surgeries, dental procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and radiographs. You will handle animals with compassion, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-first practice

Qualifications

  • RVT in Oklahoma or eligible to transfer within 3 months of hire.
  • 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners.
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.
  • Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Dental experience: scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs.
  • Phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints.
  • Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation and post-operative care.
  • Laboratory skills including cytology setup and interpretation.
  • Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, ultrasound-guided cystocentesis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians in surgeries and exams and provide compassionate patient care.
  • Handle and restrain animals safely and manage medical records with accuracy.
  • Support anesthesia monitoring and perioperative care.
  • Perform dental procedures and radiographs as part of routine exams.
  • Utilize laboratory skills for cytology and diagnostic testing as needed.
