Veterinary Technician Job Summary :

Under direction of the Practice Manager, Medical director, and Associate Veterinarians, credentialed technicians perform a wide range of tasks while providing high quality patient care and excellent customer service. These activities include, but are not limited to, outpatient care, assisting with surgical and dental procedures, medical record keeping, maintaining cleanliness of facility, restocking supplies, client communication, and client education.

An ideal candidate has the following knowledge, skills, and abilities :

• Upholds the Veterinary Technician code of ethics
• Supports Mission, Vision and Values of Destination Pet
• Exhibit professionalism, accountability, dependability, and integrity at all times
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Detail oriented
• Advocate for each patient in regard to : preventive care, pain management, anxiety & stress

• Strong medical and technical skills

Expertise & Experience :

• Credentialed in the state of Colorado
• Graduation from an AVMA accredited school
• Passed the VTNE
• Experience as a veterinary technician required.
