A growing Companion Animal Hospital in Hillsboro is hiring a Veterinary Technician to join their team in a fun, fast-paced environment. The role involves assisting DVMs, taking care of various small animals, and providing excellent veterinary care while being detail-oriented and proactive. We are currently seeking a qualified Veterinary Technician to join our team in a fun, fast-paced, small animal practice, which occasionally includes rabbits, small pocket pets, or exotic pets.
Our hospital is a full-service, 3 DVM, AAHA-accredited facility equipped with the latest technologies such as digital radiology, dental units with x-ray, ultrasound, and surgical and therapeutic lasers, to provide excellent medical and surgical care.
Applicants must be detail-oriented, able to work well within a team, and capable of working independently. The ideal candidate is outgoing, proactive, and able to connect with clients and patients. Responsibilities include organizing and multi-tasking, documenting medical records, filling medications, client interactions, maintaining clinic cleanliness and stock, and other pet care duties as needed.

Previous experience as a credentialed veterinary technician is required. The primary role involves assisting veterinarians with cases, mentoring, and educating non-credentialed staff, including tasks such as anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, and surgical prep.
This position can be part-time (up to 29 hours/week) or full-time (30-40 hours/week), with some weekend work. We offer competitive compensation, veterinary service discounts, and, after an initial trial period, full-time benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k).
