Job summary

Broken Arrow Veterinary Hospital seeks a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and patient nursing. You will assist with outpatient exams, collect samples, and maintain lab and radiography workflows while ensuring client communication is clear and compassionate.

Licensed CVT required; ability to lift up to 25 pounds; strong teamwork, organization, and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• State license to work as a certified/licensed veterinary technician in state of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (with/without assistance) and manage patient movement.
• Familiarity with PPE and OSHA safety practices; basic computer skills; math for dosages.
• Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety and client education.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in veterinary medicine and surgery as needed.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams; educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vitals during procedures.
• Collect samples, perform in-hospital lab tests, and prepare specimens for outside labs.
• Take and develop radiographs following safety procedures.
• Handle and restrain animals during exams; administer medications and vaccines.
• Maintain exam room and equipment; support team to keep public areas clean.
• Demonstrate warmth and professionalism in client interactions.
