Job summary
Mission Pet Health is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician for our Dubuque, Iowa hospital. You will join a growing team within an AAHA-accredited practice focused on advanced small animal care, including orthopedics, anesthesia monitoring, lab work, radiology, and client education.
We support growth through mentorship, professional development, and benefits such as comprehensive coverage and 401k. AVMA-accredited program graduate and licensed technician required; one year of experience
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- Current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced situations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Your Full Skillset: be a vital part of the medical team, administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
- Be a Leader and Mentor: guide the medical team and mentor others to grow their skills.
- Partner with Clients: educate pet owners, review medical records, and answer questions confidently.
- Contribute to a Positive Culture: participate in training and uphold high hospital standards.
