Job summary

West Jefferson Animal Hospital is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited small-animal practice. This full-time role offers opportunities for professional development, advancement to leadership, and exposure to orthopedics and advanced surgical options.

You will work closely with veterinarians, nursing staff, and clients, providing quality patient care and participating in continuous education to support career goals within our Mission Pet Health network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
• Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
• A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
• One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
• Lead and mentor the medical team to ensure efficient workflow and growth of team members.
• Educate clients on treatments, review medical records, and answer questions confidently.
• Contribute to a positive culture and help maintain high standards in the hospital environment.
