Total Education Solutions is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-based role in Los Angeles, CA. You will provide RSP minutes and targeted instructional support aligned with IEPs, participate actively in the IEP process, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely service delivery.

• A valid credential in Special Education or be enrolled in a program and have passed the necessary tests.
• If on an Intern credential, must be willing to comply with state renewal requirements.
• Must clear a current background check through FBI/DOJ.
• Negative TB test required.
• Auto insurance with liability limits for driving a personal vehicle (25/50k).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute school's IEP process: prepare, write, facilitate IEPs.
• Ensure schools remain in compliance with IEP timelines and service tracking.

Come join our Academic Services team at Total Education Solutions as a Special Education Teacher, where you’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary, school-based team. This is a full-time position for the 2026–2027 school year providing services in our partner schools.

In this role, you will provide RSP minutes and targeted instructional support to students in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), while maintaining compliance with all applicable guidelines, timelines, and documentation requirements. You will actively participate in the IEP process, including meetings, progress monitoring, and collaboration with families and team members.

This position supports placements across our partner school site(s), with specific assignment determined based on school partner needs. You’ll have the opportunity to work within a variety of dynamic educational settings while contributing to a supportive, student-centered team environment.

Special Education Teacher

• Salary range: $37.75 - $47.21/hr*
• Salary range is contingent upon relatable experience, credentialing/certification, education, and use of a second language in your role (50% of the time)

Expectations

Minimum Requirements

• A valid credential in Special Education or be enrolled in a program and have passed the necessary tests
• If on an Intern credential, must be willing to comply with all state requirements for renewal of the document
• Must clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ

• Hold appropriate automobile insurance with limits that allow driving a personal vehicle for work (25/50k liability coverage)
