Special Education Teacher – Los Angeles, CA (2026‑2027, Part‑Time)

Join the Academic Services team at Total Education Solutions as a Special Education Teacher. You will work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary school‑based team, providing RSP minutes and targeted instructional support to students in line with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will collaborate with families, meet IEP deadlines, conduct progress monitoring, and participate in IEP meetings.

Salary: $37.75 – $47.21 per hour (salary contingent upon experience, credentialing, education, and use of a second language for 50% of the time).

Expectations

• Oversee and execute the school’s IEP process, including preparing, writing, and facilitating IEPs.
• Ensure compliance with IEP timelines and service tracking.
• Administer formal academic assessments such as Woodcock Johnson IV and/or KTEA III; complete reports and present findings at IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with school site teams to meet special education needs.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid credential in Special Education or enrollment in an accredited program with successful completion of required certification tests.
  • If holding an intern credential, you must comply with all state renewal requirements.
• Clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ.
• Negative TB test.
• Hold appropriate automobile insurance (25/50k liability coverage) to drive a personal vehicle for work.
