Job summary

Creative STEAM Academy is seeking a credentialed elementary teacher to join our growing team in a flexible, hybrid role supporting grades 2–6. You’ll lead classes, teach Spanish immersion, provide small-group instruction, and assist in multi-grade classrooms while collaborating with colleagues.

Beyond the classroom, you’ll have opportunities to engage in administrative tasks, contribute to school operations, and participate in leadership development as our program expands.

Credentialed Elementary Teacher – Resource & Spanish Immersion (Grades 2–6)

Creative STEAM Academy is looking for a dynamic, versatile, and highly organized Credentialed Elementary Teacher to join our growing team in a unique full-time hybrid role.

This is not a traditional “one classroom, one grade level” teaching position.

We are looking for an educator who is excited to wear several hats and become an important part of our school community. Depending on the needs of our students and program, this teacher may lead classes, support students across grades 2–6, provide small-group and individualized instruction, assist in multi-grade classrooms, teach Spanish immersion, and support school operations and special projects.

For the right person, this position also offers the opportunity to learn the administrative side of education and grow along a leadership development track as Creative STEAM Academy continues to expand.

What You’ll Do

Teaching & Academic Support

In this role, no two days will look exactly the same. You may:

Teach and lead classes across grades 2–6 as needed

Teach engaging Spanish immersion classes and activities

Support teachers in combination and multi-grade classrooms

Lead small-group instruction and targeted student pull-out groups

Provide individualized academic support and intervention

Tutor students who need additional reinforcement or academic challenge

Help students strengthen foundational skills and build academic confidence

Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify student needs and provide additional support

Step into classrooms when additional teaching support is needed

Help differentiate instruction for students working at different academic levels

Bring creativity, energy, and flexibility to a hands‑on learning environment

We are especially looking for someone who genuinely enjoys variety and sees versatility as one of their strengths.

Spanish Immersion

Spanish instruction at Creative STEAM Academy is designed to be engaging, interactive, and fun.

Rather than relying solely on worksheets and memorization, we want students using Spanish through conversation, games, projects, art, movement, music, storytelling, and real‑world experiences.

Our ideal candidate is comfortable communicating in Spanish and excited about helping elementary and middle‑grade students develop confidence and enthusiasm for the language.

Administrative & Leadership Development

For an educator interested in expanding beyond the classroom, this position also provides exposure to the behind‑the‑scenes work involved in operating a growing educational program.

Depending on experience, interests, and program needs, responsibilities may include:

Supporting day‑to‑day school operations

Assisting with student and family records

Helping coordinate school events, field trips, and special programs

Supporting event planning and logistics

Assisting with basic administrative and billing processes

Helping with family communications and program organization

Supporting enrollment and operational projects

Working alongside school leadership on special projects and initiatives

Learning the systems, processes, and responsibilities involved in educational administration

A credentialed teacher

Fluent or highly proficient in Spanish

Comfortable teaching and supporting students across grades 2–6

A strong classroom teacher who can confidently step in and lead when needed

Passionate about helping students who need additional academic support

Patient, encouraging, and skilled at building student confidence

Comfortable differentiating instruction for different ability levels

Highly organized, dependable, and proactive

Comfortable with technology and learning new systems

Flexible and willing to jump in wherever support is needed

Collaborative, positive, and solution‑oriented

Interested in school operations, administration, or educational leadership

Excited to continue learning beyond the classroom

Interested in growing professionally as our organization grows
