Job description

We’re Growing — Join Our Team as a Resource Teacher!

Are you a credentialed teacher who loves working with students but has also thought about growing into school leadership or administration?

Creative STEAM Academy is looking for a dynamic, flexible, and highly organized Resource Teacher to join our growing team.

This is a unique hybrid position designed for an educator who wants to continue making a direct impact with students while also gaining hands‑on experience in the administrative and operational side of education.

Our Resource Teacher will work across classrooms, support students through small-group and individualized instruction, assist teachers in combination classes, and spend part of their role learning and supporting entry‑level school administration.

For the right person, this position offers an opportunity to grow along an administrative and leadership development track as our program continues to expand.

What You’ll Do

Academic & Student Support

  • Support teachers in combination and multi-grade classrooms
  • Lead small-group instruction and targeted student pull‑out groups
  • Provide individualized support for students who may be slightly behind or need additional reinforcement
  • Help students strengthen foundational skills and build academic confidence
  • Provide individual tutoring and intervention when needed
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify student needs and provide additional support
  • Step into different classrooms and grade levels as needed

Administrative & Leadership Development

This role is also an opportunity to begin learning what happens behind the scenes of running a successful educational program.

Depending on experience, interests, and program needs, responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting day-to-day school operations
  • Assisting with student and family records
  • Helping coordinate school events, field trips, and special programs
  • Supporting event planning and logistics
  • Assisting with billing and basic administrative processes
  • Helping with family communications and program organization
  • Supporting enrollment and other operational projects
  • Working alongside school leadership on special projects and initiatives
  • Learning the systems, processes, and responsibilities involved in educational administration

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who has thought:

“I love teaching, but I could see myself moving into administration or leadership someday.”

You’ll have the opportunity to gain exposure to both sides of education — supporting students in the classroom while developing the operational and leadership skills that can prepare you for future administrative opportunities.

We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:

  • A credentialed teacher
  • Passionate about helping students who need additional academic support
  • Comfortable working across multiple grade levels
  • Patient, encouraging, and able to build student confidence
  • Highly organized and dependable
  • Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
  • Interesting in school operations, administration, or educational leadership
  • Excited to learn beyond the classroom
  • Flexible and willing to jump in wherever support is needed
  • Collaborative, positive, and solution-oriented
  • Interested in growing professionally as our organization grows

Why Creative STEAM Academy?

At Creative STEAM Academy, our classrooms are device‑free, hands‑on, and built around meaningful learning experiences. Small class sizes, real relationships, individualized attention, and project‑based discovery allow students to truly thrive.

Our teachers are the heart of everything we do.

That’s why we offer:

  • Small class sizes and small-group instruction
  • Opportunities for individualized teaching and tutoring
  • Competitive pay
  • Supportive leadership that truly values teachers
  • A collaborative, creative, student‑centered environment
  • Exposure to school operations and administration
  • Leadership development and mentorship
  • Opportunities for increased responsibility
  • Potential advancement into administrative and leadership roles as our program grows

If you’re an educator who loves working with students but is also ready to expand your skill set, learn the administrative side of education, and begin building a path toward leadership, we’d love to meet you.

Come grow with us — in the classroom and beyond it.
