Credentialed Laboratory Assistant

About this position

Lake Regional is looking for a dedicated, professional Laboratory Technician to join our Camdenton Team! This person will be responsible for maintaining the lab schedule. They will be trained on all equipment in the lab, understand all lab testing, blood draws, and proper processing, as well as maintain the integrity of the lab. The ideal candidate will also assist with nurse visits, administer allergy shots, flu shots, blood pressure checks, and help room patients. The ideal candidate will also be cross‑trained to help cover other clinical duties as needed.

The lab tech is responsible for all lab duties:

• Running the lab schedule
• LRHS orders and outside orders
• Drawing blood
• Processing labs to be done in the office or sent to the lab for processing
• Be able to give injections
• Opening the lab
• Running daily CBC controls
• Running daily controls on UA machine
• Running daily controls on glucose
• Cleaning the autoclave
• Keeping logs and maintaining all logs for the lab
• For RHC and to maintain our CLIA certification

Qualifications/Requirements:

• An annual influenza vaccine is required.
• High School graduate/GED
• RMA/CMA certification with lab draw experience required.

MA Qualifications:

Graduated from an accredited Medical Assisting program or has worked as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting for at least 3 years. Will be required to test for credentials within 90 days from the hire date using one of the approved credentialing bodies:

• National Healthcareer Association (NHA) – Website: www.nhanow.com

Certified Medical Assistant/Registered Medical Assistant/Certified Clinic Medical Assistant credentials desired.
