Qualifications

• Valid teaching credential required.
• Experience in reading intervention, dyslexia support, and writing development.
• Experience teaching Algebra I concepts including graphing, slope, and problem-solving strategies.
• Skilled in supporting reading comprehension, summarization, and written/verbal communication development.
• Familiarity with Lindamood-Bell-inspired instructional approaches and visualization strategies preferred.
• Experience working with neurodiverse learners and providing processing time with structured support.

Responsibilities

• Provide reading comprehension, summarization, and written expression instruction.
• Support Algebra I concepts including slope, graphing, and multi-step problem solving.
• Reinforce verbal and written communication through guided discussion and structured response development.
• Use visualization and comprehension strategies aligned with reading intervention methodologies.
• Develop engaging, project-based learning activities with visual and written components.
• Allow processing time while encouraging active participation and independent thinking.
• Incorporate structured questioning, modeling, and scaffolding to strengthen understanding.
• Provide supplemental reading and math materials as needed.
• Incorporate movement breaks and regulation strategies to maintain focus.
• Build a supportive, conversational learning environment encouraging confidence and growth.
