Job summary

Sony Music Group is seeking an Account Representative to service editors, music supervisors and producers for TV and streaming series. You will manage relationships, deliver searches, and negotiate licenses, while driving sales and meeting KPIs.

The role requires 3–5 years in sales with strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to travel when needed. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected, with CRM experience a plus.

• 3–5 years of experience in a sales capacity with customer service skills.
• Passionate about music with some musical background or musical ear.

• Comfort with high volume of outbound correspondence.
• Exceptionally organized, meticulous, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to your assigned group of clients in the form of music searches, music file delivery, and account management.
• Build and maintain client relationships through regular outreach via phone, email and in person meetings.
• Deliver consistently against monthly and annual sales targets.
• Negotiate synchronization licenses, including fees and terms.
• Utilize prospecting tools and resources to seek out new business opportunities.
• Consistently meet KPIs.
• Interpret music briefs provided by clients and perform music searches.
• Anticipate client’s music needs, and proactively provide new and existing releases accordingly.
• Educate potential users on the best music formats and means of accessing the catalog, perform off-site and virtual web demos.
• Provide feedback on the catalog and ideas for the development of new releases based on production trends and client requests.
• Participate in the planning, coordinating and execution of client events.
• Collaborate with management on ideas and suggestions for client outreach and interactions.
• 7.5 hour business workday but variations in work volume occasionally require extended working hours for evening and late-night events

Job Purpose:

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is: $58,400.00-$83,300.00 This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
