Job description

Performance Marketer on Meta (Full-Time, Fully Remote)

140-180K | 1% Equity | YC-Backed | Millions in Revenue | Early Team Member

We're a Y Combinator-backed startup selling a DTC at home health test. We have millions of dollars of revenue after only 12 months of business and our TAM is massive. We're looking for a scrappy, hands-on marketer with extensive experience analyzing and creating Meta Ads to help us move even faster. Someone who's not afraid to tackle tough or tedious problems. You'll work directly with the founders to test, build, and scale marketing channels that drive real revenue.

What you’ll actually do

  • Analyze ad performance data, understand what’s working, and try new things – fast
  • Must be comfortable reading and understanding charts
  • Must understand how the metrics speak to creative quality - CTR, Hook Rate, Hold Rate, Conversion Rate, AVG Watch Time etc
  • Write ad briefs and hand them off to our video editors to create short-form video ads
  • Build landing pages, A/B test landing pages, and do CRO with visual builders
  • Improve messaging across Ads and Landing Pages
  • Use AI to generate images, videos, and voiceovers for ad creative
  • Heygen, playjump, elevenlabs, Kling, VisualElectric etc
  • Source UGC creators and instruct them to provide content
  • Support influencer partnerships and paid creator campaigns
  • Lead additional marketing team members we onboard in the future

What we’re looking for in a candidate

  • 4+ years of experience creating video ads in the DTC space and with Meta Ads Manager
  • Deep familiarity with the metrics used to analyze the funnel from Creative to Purchase.
  • Ability to make autonomous decisions
  • Quick to understand charts and graphs
  • Excellent pattern recognition skills - to identify patterns across past and present ads - both winners and losers.
  • Ability to ingest information and learn new skills and concepts from Youtube and online articles.
  • Fast on the computer - familiar with keyboard shortcuts, and have an intuition around software interfaces that lets you learn new software tools quickly.
  • Moderate skills with Google Sheets

What is not required

  • Advanced video editing skills (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects)
  • We have video editors that will transform briefs into videos
  • High level Awareness Marketing
  • We are too young for top of funnel activity
  • Experience with Google Ads

You’re probably a good fit if you

  • Built or scaled Meta Ad accounts to $50k/day+ in ad spend
  • Are hungry for the startup life
  • Interested in becoming a millionaire through your own sweat/effort
  • Don’t complain or whine when problems are hard to solve
  • Understand how to generate high-performing marketing creatives
  • Can design a landing page or edit a headline without asking for permission
  • Worked at a startup or small team and know how to prioritize without hand-holding
  • Understand how to make appropriate trade offs between quality, time, and cost given the short, medium, and long term goals.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with e-commerce, DTC, or health/wellness products
  • Copywriting or funnel optimization skills
  • Having strong opinions on hooks and scroll-stopping content
  • Experience with Shopify
