Job summary

Empire & Co. is seeking a Creative Specialist to support internal sales and clients in configuring furniture, spaces and accessories for commercial, hospitality and residential projects.

You will create renderings, develop ancillary packages, and assist with RFPs and client presentations, collaborating with A+D teams and manufacturers to meet design intent and lead times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or interior design.
  • 2–5 years of design experience within a design firm, furniture manufacturer, retailer and/or dealership.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail & strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and work independently.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Furniture specification + application based on the original design intent.
  • Create Photo-realistic renderings + fly throughs.
  • Develop ancillary packages for projects that require alternates due to price point or lead time requirement.
  • Devise furniture solutions to address a look + feel package with no defined specifications.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentation and Excel spreadsheet with product information including but not limited to pricing, discount, lead-times and warranties.
  • Specify alternate products for RFP responses to drive cost savings.
  • Assist internal sales teams with their day-to-day requests for alternate products.
  • Lead client and A+D presentations.
  • Develop accessories packages that can be added to projects to elevate the space.
  • Foster partnerships with key manufacturer partners and develop a strong understanding of their aesthetics, manufacturing strengths, weaknesses, price points and lead times.
  • Identify and expedite escalated requests with professionalism and sense of urgency.

OverviewThe Creative Studio was established to support the ever-growing need for application design and ancillary spaces in commercial office, hospitality, and residential projects.
