NW Natural is seeking a Creative Services Specialist in Portland, OR to partner on high‑quality visual communications and brand‑driven storytelling. You will blend strong design skills with production know‑how and capable project management to translate complex information into engaging visuals across print, digital, and presentation formats.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, Adobe CC proficiency, and a track record of delivering on-brand materials while collaborating across teams.

Competenze

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience in corporate, agency, or in-house environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Experience designing for print, digital, and presentation platforms, including PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently while supporting broader creative direction.

NOTE:

This hybrid position is based at our headquarters in downtown Portland, Oregon. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the office or be willing to relocate to the Portland metropolitan area. Employees are required to work onsite Tuesdays through Thursdays each week, with remote work flexibility on Mondays and Fridays, subject to business needs. This schedule supports collaboration, connection, and team engagement while providing flexibility for focused remote work.

Position Summary

This Creative Services Specialist serves as a key creative partner, developing high-quality visual communications that engage employees, customers, community partners, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate is both a strong designer with production skills and an effective project manager who can translate complex information into compelling, on-brand visual storytelling.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design and produce high-quality print and digital communications, such as newsletters, presentations, reports, signage, digital graphics, and marketing materials
  • Ensure consistent application of NW Natural's brand standards across all communication channels and company brands
  • Collaborate with communications professionals, business partners, and external vendors to deliver projects from concept through production
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Maintain and enhance templates, digital asset libraries, and other brand resources
  • Assist with photography, video, and other multimedia projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience in a corporate, agency, or in-house creative environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Experience designing for print, digital, and presentation platforms, including PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently while supporting broader creative direction
  • Proven visual design, typography, layout, and information-design skills
  • Experience developing executive presentations and corporate communication materials
  • Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to simplify complex information into clear and engaging visual content
  • Solid understanding of pre-press and file preparation
  • Experience with video, motion graphics, photography, multimedia production or AI is a plus

Base salary range: $88,700.00-$126,350.00 per year, depending on qualifications

Annual Target Incentive

Level 3, 9.5% target. Targets are calculated using eligible earnings during plan year participation. Payout, if earned, is based on company and individual performance for each plan year and may range from 0% - 200% of target. Targets are subject to change in subsequent plan years. Must be employed by September 30 in order to receive any prorated payout.
