Job summary

Alston & Bird LLP seeks a Creative Services Specialist to design and produce a wide range of visual communications for marketing, business development, recruiting, and internal communications. The role blends strong design expertise with collaboration to advance the firm’s brand and strategic objectives.

You will create print and digital collateral, develop compelling presentations, and use AI-powered tools within Adobe Creative Cloud to enhance creativity, efficiency, and visual impact.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
• Experience using AI-powered features in Adobe Creative Cloud (Generative Fill, Text-to-Image, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of graphic design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
• Experience creating print and digital materials in professional services environments.

Responsibilities

• Design internal and external collateral (brochures, invitations, newsletters, event signage, digital graphics, social assets, HTML emails).
• Develop campaigns and branded materials aligned with firm objectives.
• Create, enhance, retouch images, infographics, charts, and visuals using Creative Cloud apps.
• Leverage AI tools within Creative Cloud to support ideation and production while upholding brand standards.
• Design sophisticated PowerPoint presentations and templates for attorneys and leadership.
• Prepare layouts for overviews, proposals, pitches, and client-facing materials.
• Collaborate with attorneys, BD, recruiting, and admin to translate concepts into visuals.
• Identify opportunities to expand design usage and emerging tech across the firm.
• Ensure quality control and consistency with brand guidelines across all projects.
• Prepare production-ready files for print vendors and external partners.
• Maintain asset libraries, templates, and portfolios; track assignments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Creative Services Specialist designs and produces a wide range of visual communications that support the Firm's marketing, business development, recruiting, and internal communications initiatives. This role creates compelling print and digital assets, develops presentation materials for attorneys and executive leadership, and leverages emerging design technologies, including AI-powered tools within Adobe Creative Cloud, to enhance creativity, efficiency, and visual impact. The successful candidate will combine strong design expertise with a collaborative approach to deliver high-quality work that advances the Firm's brand and strategic objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Design and produce a variety of internal and external collateral materials, including brochures, invitations, newsletters, announcements, event signage, digital graphics, social media assets, HTML emails, and other marketing communications.
• Develop creative concepts, visual campaigns, and branded materials that align with firmwide marketing, recruiting, and business development objectives.
• Create, enhance, retouch, and edit images, illustrations, infographics, charts, graphs, and other visual assets using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and related design tools.
• Utilize AI-powered capabilities within Adobe Creative Cloud, such as Adobe Firefly and Generative AI features, to support image generation, content ideation, design exploration, photo editing, and workflow optimization while ensuring compliance with Firm brand standards and quality expectations.
• Design and develop sophisticated PowerPoint presentations and templates for attorneys, practice groups, and executive leadership, incorporating custom graphics, infographics, data visualizations, charts, graphs, animations, multimedia, and interactive elements.
• Prepare layouts and formatting for practice group overviews, proposals, pitch materials, and other client-facing communications.
• Partner with attorneys, business development professionals, recruiting teams, and administrative departments to translate concepts into visually engaging communication materials.
• Identify opportunities to expand the strategic use of design, visual storytelling, and emerging creative technologies across the Firm.
• Ensure consistency and quality control across all creative projects, maintaining established brand guidelines and visual standards.
• Prepare electronic files and production-ready artwork for print vendors and external partners.
• Maintain departmental image libraries, digital asset repositories, templates, and creative portfolios.
• Track assignments, maintain project records, and support workflow management within the Creative Services function.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and related applications.
• Experience using AI-powered creative tools within Adobe Creative Cloud, including Generative Fill, Generative Expand, Text-to-Image, and other emerging Adobe AI technologies.
• Strong understanding of graphic design principles, typography, color theory, layout design, and visual storytelling.
• Experience creating both print and digital communications materials within a professional services, legal, corporate, or agency environment preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of presentation design, data visualization, and multimedia integration.
• Familiarity with HTML email design and digital marketing platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of video editing, motion graphics, WordPress, and other digital content creation tools a plus.
• Experience managing digital assets, templates, and brand standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present creative concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships across departments.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Thorough command of the English language, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, and written communication skills.
• Eight plus years of professional graphic design, creative services, or visual communications experience.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.
